Downtime

The repo will be down for the day, and we’ll announce when it comes back up. we’re doing some remodeling of the table structures, so that the repo is faster and more efficient for the server. sorry for the inconvenience…

EDIT: The server is back up!!!!!

The day is even better

Along with the savestate fix…I just had an omfg moment.

iROM - the main website, has received over 400 unique hits yesterday, and over 600 unique hits so far today. Before we used to get a few thousand downloads per day, but not that many hits to the site. How awesome is that

Along with the good hits, 172,000 downloads have been made..this month I think SINCE WE ADDED THE COUNTER!. How awesome is that! - I was looking through the logs, I noticed that more people use IE than firefox. Wake up people! The site looks pretty F’d up in Internet Explorer, which is a very very crap browser anyway.

Download firefox! NOW! Click here to download it.

Icecream for all. Ciao.

BEST DAY EVER!!!!!

I Finally Figured out how to fix the savestates and hidden roms!!!
Here’s what you do:
Install Term-vt100 (if you haven’t already), and then the SUID lib fix and the BSD Fix(which are either in the tweaks, utilities, or the system category). Then, go open the Terminal App. You should see the following in the window:
Password:
The password is alpine, so go type it in and press enter. If you mistype it, you should then see the following:
Password:
Login incorrect
login:

Type in root for the login, and carefully type in alpine for the password. After that, you should then see something like the following:
Password:
Last login: Fri Jun 20 14:45:19 on ttyp0
#

Don’t worry if its not exact. as long as that last # is there, your good to go. Next, you’ll want to type in the following, pressing enter after each new line:
chmod +s /Applications/Installer.app/Installer
chown -R root:wheel /Applications/Installer.app/
reboot

When your ipod restarts, just install a rom for each platform thats acting up. Because of this fix, Every rom will automatically set file permissions for you, meaning you can now run any rom, save any game, and every rom will show up in your emulator.

This fix took me about 4 weeks of searching and hard work, so don’t forget to donate for our efforts.

new poll

Please take the time to complete the new poll on the right. This poll might only be available on a non-mobile browser.

Also, we’re using rapidshare for getting roms, so we’re paying for a premium account. Help us pay for it and the rest of the site’s budget by donating.

Mass addition!!

We just added a huge load of GBA roms to the repo (about 46 of them). They should be available now!

Ah….Memories…

I was playing Star Fox 64 the other day, and i thought to myself “I bet our fans would like to play.” So i went and got StarFox & StarFox 2 for SNES, and put it on the repo. I tried em both out, and…

I recommend them to everyone.

Impressive, Star Fox.

Minor Tweaking…

Date & Time = June 16th, 2008 2:33am CMT
Everything in the repo, from GBA to Genesis, and from gpSPhone to the BIOS, should now be fully functional.

Everything works, so feel free to download away. We’re trying to get to at least 75,000 Unique user downloads by the end of the month. Right now We’re at 46,045 since June 4th. This request from us to you is so that we can prove that we can keep up with the competition (other rom repo sites). The more users, the more possibility that someone will eventually donate to our efforts……..By the way, we’ve only gotten about $15 in donations since this site started up. Someone PLEASE Donate…

……So anyways, tell your friends, family, teachers…Everyone with an iphone, about our site and repo. We want the world to know we exist, because we want to help the World be a funner* place.

*Yes i know its not gramatically correct.

Update!

Genesis has been added to the repository and the request form!

It’s been a long time but we finally have it here, Genesis has been added to the repository. It’s just going through some testing right now, should be live soon.

SNES has been fixed - for those who still aren’t able to get any games, go to iROM Utilities in installer (After refreshing your sources), and download the Snes rom prep. After that’s installed, proceed to download SNES ROMs and it should work fine.
